Microphonies 21 is a piece that invites listeners to immerse themselves in sound. The sound material is extracted from the Wuhan Tam-Gong and obtained by three playing modes : scraped, struck, rubbed. This material is then transformed by electronic processing and spatialized on a multi-channel system.

The first 21 minutes of the piece were sketched out during the 15th Saison d’art de Chaumont sur Loire in April 2022, for the performance « Matière Lumière » by visual artist Evi Keller.

It has been finalized in the Salle des Religieuses at Maubuisson Abbey to echo the mirror doors of the work « Nékromantéion » during the exhibition « Khépri, sortir au jour » by visual artist Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves in April 2023.
